GADAS web platform
Description
Global Agricultural Decision Analysis System (GADAS) is a powerful visualization tool built on the ArcGIS platform.
GADAS empowers users to assess crop conditions in real-time.
It achieves this by integrating a wide range of detailed information from multiple sources, providing a comprehensive view of current crop conditions.
GADAS blends detailed data -- such as precipitation, temperature, vegetation index anomalies, soil moisture, SPI, and more -- with spatially disaggregated agricultural data to assess crop conditions and perform agricultural area impact analysis.
It supports comprehensive map visualizations with factors like land cover, irrigation, side-by-side mapping, cities, and other political data. Through several tools, users can customize these maps with the Style Editor, Compare/swipe, and the Political mask; users can learn key agricultural information about a country with the Ag Profile tool; users can perform analysis with Identify and Calculate, Ag Area Affected, and Raster Difference; and users can explore and analyze Satellite imagery.
Through a partnership with the Pacific Disaster Center in Hawaii and others, FAS-IPAD incorporates near real-time disaster data into GADAS, allowing worldwide monitoring of hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes.
With Map Analytics, users can explore anywhere on land to produce time-series charts on weather or crop conditions. Commodity Statistics Analytics allow users to explore any country to chart USDA's production, supply, and distribution (PSD) data covering hundreds of crops, animals, and horticultural products.
Access the GADAS platform for gaining insights into global agriculture, monitoring the environment, responding to disasters, and making well-informed decisions in the agricultural sector and beyond.
