Description

On 27th May 2025, the GEO Knowledge Hub team hosted an insightful webinar titled "GEO Knowledge Hub for Youth" aimed at engaging young professionals and students in the global Earth observation community.

The session began with Paola De Salvo introducing the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) and providing an overview of the GEO Knowledge Hub, its mission, and its significance as a collaborative platform. 

Following this, Kalamkas Yessimkhanova presented the Vision and Concept behind the GEO Knowledge Hub, outlining how it serves as a centralized resource for sharing and accessing community-driven Earth observation knowledge.

Next, Felipe Carlos provided a live demonstration of the GEO Knowledge Hub platform, walking attendees through its interface and highlighting key features that enable exploration of community knowledge and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Looking ahead, Bente Lilja Bye discussed future opportunities highlighting avenues for youth involvement.

Throughout the event, attendees were encouraged to engage actively and had the opportunity to ask questions, fostering an interactive and informative experience.
