This resource contains the materials presented during the In-situ Data in GEO session at ODOK 2025, held on 5 May 2025 in Rome as part of the GEO Global Forum.

Session description: This session provided a comprehensive overview of the role of in situ data in the Global Earth Observation (GEO) framework. It explored the strategic importance of in situ data, focusing on how it complements satellite data in enhancing the accuracy of global observations. The session also highlighted the ongoing challenges in closing existing data gaps and the contributions of global initiatives.
