Rennes Urban Climate Network

LEGT Rennes

Description

This map shows temperature measurements from the Rennes meteorological network. The map is obtained from a network of some one hundred sensors spread across the metropolis, measuring temperature (and relative humidity) at a height of 3 meters.

Clicking on "ICU" displays the urban heat island (ICU), showing the difference (in degrees) between each measurement point and the coldest point on the network (value 0).

Real-time mode corresponds to the latest network measurement, updated every 30 minutes (note UTC time!). Historical mode lets you select a date and time from the archive (available since December 2020).

For color display, absolute gradient displays temperatures in a fixed color range between -10 and 40 degrees. The relative gradient distributes colors according to the extreme temperatures (min and max) of the selected date and time.
