ARBOCARTO-v2 Web Platform
Description
ARBOCARTO is built on a generic model of mosquito population dynamics, adapted for Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus species (in both temperate and tropical environments), and driven by a user interface.
ARBOCARTO was developed using the Ocelet domain-specific language, which is dedicated to modeling spatial dynamics and equipped with a model development and simulation environment: Ocelet Modelling Platform.
The input data includes:
- Meteorological data (daily temperature and rainfall)
- Environmental data on mosquito breeding site distribution, obtained from field surveys, high or very high spatial resolution remote sensing data, or additional data sources (Urban Atlas, land cover data produced by CES OSO or IGN, OpenStreetMap)
The tool outputs maps of mosquito densities:
- For different life stages (eggs, larvae, adults)
- At spatial scales (neighborhood, IRIS block, etc.) and temporal frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly) chosen by the user
- In various geographic formats for visualization in a Geographic Information System software (.shp) or with Google Earth (.kml)
