Description
This information describes the data products used to create the Measuring Crop Health application. Analysis Ready Data (ARD) is contained wholly within Digital Earth Africa's (DE Africa) Sandbox environment. Data required to run the computation is contained within the Sandbox, there is no need to pull data from outside the Sandbox. Across all DE Africa's applications, ARD comes formatted as Cloud Optimised GeoTIFFs with Spatio Temporal Asset Catalog (STAC) metadata.
Sentinel-2
The Measuring Crop Health notebook draws upon Sentinel-2 data for a specified area in a time series. DE Africa uses a time series of Sentinel-2 data from 2017 onwards which has a spatial resolution of up to 10 meters. Since early 2018, Sentinel-2 satellites have been acquiring images over most of the land surface every five days. Digital Earth Africa provides information on the Sentinel-2a and Sentinel-2b imagery datasets used in this analysis.
