Description
VNP46A4 - VIIRS/NPP Lunar BRDF-Adjusted Nighttime Lights Yearly L3 Global 15 arc second Linear Lat Lon Grid, also referred to as VNP46A4, is a NASA data product generated from data collected by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Day-Night Band (DNB) sensor. VNP46A4 provides annual composites produced from daily atmospherically- and lunar-BRDF-corrected NTL radiance data. The VNP46A4 data product includes 28 layers. Variables captured in this product include number of observations, quality, snow cover, and coordinates. Validation of the data set was conducted through the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Human Planet Initiatives's Nighttime Product Validation (NPV) task. The VNP46A4 data product is a part of NASA's Black Marble product suite, which supports the use of nightlight data for scientific use.
