Description

This resource contains training materials presented on Day 2 of the 2024 Integrated Workshop and Capacity Building Training focused on advanced Earth Observation (EO) capacity assessment methodologies and national EO products and services.

Session description:

Day 2 expanded on the Earth Observations Maturity Indicator (EOMI) methodology using South Africa's national EO data resources. The day started with an introduction to the EOMI methodology for assessing EO capabilities. Participants from the Communities of Practice (CoPs) then engaged in a participatory assessment exercise, allowing them to apply the methodology in practice and reflect on their own institutional or sectoral EO capacities.
